Think you’re handy behind the wheel? Put your skills to the test in The Challenge...

If you thought FordFest was just about straight-line drag strip action, then think again. Check out The Challenge...Found at the top end of the show, The Live Action Arena will play host to The Challenge – an adrenaline-filled competition that allows show-goers to put their very own fast Fords (and their driving skills!) to the ultimate test.

Featuring a custom circuit specifically designed to put your car’s handling abilities through their paces, The Challenge uses professional timing equipment to record how fast you and your car can get round the tight and twisty handling course. From a standstill in the start box, you will wind your way around the obstacles pushing your car to its limits before coming to a stop in the finish box. Beware; time penalties will be awarded for touching cones, false starts or failing to stop in the designated area!

Keeping with the ‘new versus old’ theme that forms the basis of Ford Fest, The Challenge will feature two classes; ‘old’ for pre-1990 cars, and ‘new’ for post-1990 cars. Trophies will be awarded to the overall winners of each class.
